Mommy was woken up by the sound of an air horn this morning. That usually means one thing: a black bear. I gots to see the bear 'cause I was looking out of the window. It was really big and was eating the Really Nice Lady's bird food. I heard Mommy call Loki the "Loki-Bear" before so I figured that bears were the size of Loki but this thing was bigger than one of the evil vicious deer that we usually see outside. The Really Nice Lady used the air horn to scare off the bear so it was gone before Mommy could get any pictures of it. But trust me: it was HUGE. Makes me glad I'm an inside kitty.

We have never seen a bear. But from the description, we DONT want to...
Maybe next time, Mom will get a photo. I'm glad you were inside too.

Mom said at the last Neighborhood Watch meeting they said that black bears are attracted to bird feeders, we didn't know this before (we have bears in our neighborhood too.

Whoa! I think bears and monsters must be the same thing!
Holy moly! A bear??!? And we thought seeing vishus deer was something!
Must be quite exciting but thank goodness you're in inside kitty! We have never seen bears nor vishus deer- only little birdies but we think it would be exciting to see them. Mom thinks NOT as she is a scaredy kitty much more than us..hee

Well, if you follow hockey like we do, the sound of an air horn means someone scored a goal!

Wow! That's such an a-citing story! I don't think we have any bears around here in the city, just pigeons and some rats and the occasional raccoon. I know it would be kinda scary, but I would like to see a real bear!
Wow, a bear roaming the backyard. Must have been scary for you, but you were inside. So that means you were safe. That bear must be flapping his wings after eating the bird food. Good thing your neighbor was prepared with the air horn. Thanks for the share. Have a great day.
